Can a website really test my screen?
A browser can display precise solid colors, grayscale levels, gradients, grids, and moving patterns. These patterns make many visual defects easier to see. A website cannot measure laboratory color accuracy without a calibrated sensor, so ScreenVitals clearly separates visual checks from instrument measurements.
Is the screen test safe?
The diagnostic patterns are static or slow-moving and do not change your display settings. The optional stuck-pixel tool uses a limited color cycle, includes a flashing-content warning, and can be stopped immediately.
Does ScreenVitals upload my photos?
No. The photo analyzer processes the selected image inside your browser. The photo is not transmitted to ScreenVitals. Closing the page clears the working image.
What is the difference between a dead and stuck pixel?
A dead pixel normally remains black because it no longer emits or passes light. A stuck subpixel remains red, green, blue, or bright on patterns where it should be dark. A visual test can help distinguish them, but dust and screen-surface marks should be ruled out first.
Can I use the result for a warranty claim?
You can print a ScreenVitals result summary and add your own photos, device serial number, and purchase details. It is supporting documentation only; the manufacturer or retailer decides whether a panel meets its warranty policy.
