Is my screen photo uploaded?
No. The browser reads the selected file into local memory and performs the analysis on your device. ScreenVitals has no upload endpoint for the photo.
What does the photo result measure?
Gray and white photos receive a relative uniformity score based on luminance variation across sampled tiles. Black photos receive only a Low, Moderate, or Strong dark-screen variation result because camera noise and automatic exposure make a precise black-screen score misleading. Neither result is a laboratory panel specification.
Why does the heatmap show dark corners?
Phone lenses commonly have natural corner shading, and a camera that is not centered can create perspective-related variation. Photograph the screen straight on, leave a small border, and compare the heatmap with what you see.
Can it detect one dead pixel?
A single display pixel is often smaller than a phone camera can resolve cleanly from a full-screen photo. The analyzer is designed mainly for broad variation such as dirty screen effect, tint, backlight bleed, and burn-in regions.
How do I save the result?
After analysis, use the Print / Save PDF button. Your browser can print the summary or save it as a PDF. Add device and purchase details before using it as supporting warranty documentation.
